When an awful fountain with strong references to phallus was set up in my former school’s main staircase people rebelled. We was given the assignment to replace it with a more appropriate installation based on the school’s main design element - the letter X. In a jumble of strings I created a three dimensional X. The appearance of the X changes while going up and down the stairs, symbolizing the school’s endless possibilities of creativity.
